Startup databases: where to add your company profile, with each site's wait and price
Where to add a company profile, from Crunchbase and Dealroom to Startup Ranking: what each database charges and how long approval takes, from its own page.
By Venture ListPublished Updated Links checked September 2026How we check
A startup database keeps a profile of your company where investors, partners and journalists look companies up. Most of the ones on our list that state a price let you add a profile for free. What differs is the wait, from a day or less to months, and what they check before your profile goes live: an account, an email address on your company's domain, your revenue or your street address.
This guide sets out what each database on our list says about price, approval and verification, in its own words, read on 29 and 30 September 2026. We don't measure what a profile brings you, and we take no money from the places we list.
01What a startup database is for
A launch platform gives you a day on a front page; Product Hunt alternatives covers those. A database gives you a record that stays. People come to it with a question ("who is building this?", "who raised money in this city?"), not to browse what launched today. So a profile is less about a spike of visitors than about being there, and being right, when someone checks.
That also means the profile is only as useful as it is current. More on that below.
02The databases side by side
The table shows what each poster on the list shows: kind, cost, approval time where the site states one in short form, and the date of our last link check. Hover a value for the full text we read. A blank cell means there is no short form: the site doesn't state it, or the full sentence is on the place's page.

03The big databases: create or claim a profile
On the largest databases, your company may already have a profile. Your job is then to claim it, or to add one if there is none.
Crunchbase. Its help center says who can add a company:
D129CrunchbaseKind
“On Crunchbase, any registered and socially authenticated user can add a profile page.”
Our reading: directory
You need a registered account to contribute. Since any registered user can add a page, search for your company before you create one.
Dealroom says its data reaches investors, and says so as the reason to claim your profile:
D132DealroomKind
“Claiming and updating your profiles helps increase your visibility to tier 1 VCs (who are all Dealroom users).”
Our reading: directory
To claim, you log in and prove the company is yours. Dealroom's founder guide: "make sure your email domain matches your company's website domain to confirm ownership."
StartupBlink calls itself "a global startup ecosystem map and research center", and adding a startup puts it on what its add page calls the Global Startup Ecosystem Map. Its page on the list quotes the one condition it states: "If your email domain doesn't match the website, you may be asked to verify."
TrustMRR lists revenue, not only names: its tagline is "The database of verified startup revenues". To add a startup, its FAQ says, you "connect a supported payment provider with a read-only API key."
D183TrustMRRCost
“Yes. Adding a startup to the verified revenue database is free. Optional add-ons are one-time paid upgrades”
Our reading: Free; optional one-time add-ons
GetLatka is a database of SaaS companies and their metrics. Its team reviews each submission, and its add page says: "We publish your profile, usually within a few business days."
04Free, with a review or a queue
Startup Ranking is free, and the free route is slow:
D096Startup RankingApproval
“Wait for our team to approve it in 80 days. If you are in a hurry, you can use our SR Faster Approval for a 24-hour approval.”
Our reading: Free: approved in about 80 days; paid Faster Approval: under 24 hours, from $49 one-time (Basic) or $99 (Premium)
The paid Faster Approval, in our reading of its pages, costs from $49 one-time (Basic) or $99 (Premium), and approves in under 24 hours. Waits change: the quote above is from its own how-it-works page, with the day we read it, so check that page on the day you submit. How that wait compares with the launch sites' queues is in how long a free launch waits.
VentureRadar reviews new companies for free, with a paid way past the wait. Its submit page, as we read it on 29 September 2026: "New company submissions will typically be reviewed within 21 days", or "Get Immediate Approval of Submission with a Premium Profile $75 (50% lifetime discount)". You need a free VentureRadar account to create a profile. The full text is on VentureRadar's page on the list.
Startup Tracker says of its listing: "it helps with your SEO and it's 100% free." We can't confirm the SEO part; our guide Do startup directories help SEO? quotes what Google says about directory links.
Startup Inspire lists one startup for free, and sells a Standard plan at €19 for life for up to five. Its FAQ adds: "Not every submitted startup will be published."
05Regional lists
Some databases cover one region or one city.
- EU-Startups Database calls itself "The startup database of the most promising startups in Europe." Its listing is free and, in its words, "Never Expires".
- GeekWire Startup List is "The most comprehensive list of startups in the Pacific Northwest", in GeekWire's words. "All entries are reviewed by a human, and your company information and physical address will be verified before publication."
- Startups List: the form we read is for San Francisco startups. It asks for a name, website, description and contact email, with no account, and every submission is reviewed. It states no timeline.
- e27 calls itself a platform "for insights, connections, funding, and talent opportunities", and keeps a startup list. In its words, you can "Connect with them, learn more about them, or invest in them". We have not found a price or a wait on its pages yet.
06Paid, and fast
If you need a profile live this week, the paid lanes are the short ones:
- All Top Startups is paid only: a $29 directory listing, live "in less than 48 hours".
- Startup Ranking's Faster Approval and VentureRadar's Premium Profile, above, buy the same thing: a day instead of weeks or months.
By these sites' own descriptions, what the payment buys is speed.
A database profile records a funding round; it doesn't get you one. If you are raising through an accelerator, how much equity accelerators take sets out each program's published deal.
07Accounts and verification
Most of these databases ask for an account before you can add or edit a profile, and several check that the company is yours. Among the checks they state: an email on your company's domain (Dealroom, StartupBlink), revenue read from your payment provider (TrustMRR), a human review of your company details and address (GeekWire). Startups List is the exception among the ones we name: its form needs no account.
Use an email address on your company's domain for all of them: it is the check two of them name.
08Keeping the profile current
What the sites themselves say about it is short. Dealroom ties claiming and updating your profile to being seen by investors. Crunchbase lets any registered user add a profile page, which is a reason to check yours now and then. EU-Startups says its free listing never expires, so it will show whatever you last wrote.
When something changes (a new name, a new address, a closed round), update the databases you are on in one sitting. Keep the list of them in your launch plan: add each with the + on its poster and paste the profile address when it goes live.

09Two we are holding back
Startup Stash's form for listing a product now says "This typeform is now closed", and tech^map showed no dated activity when we checked on 30 September 2026. Both are hidden from the list while we decide whether to keep them, so we don't recommend either here. Before you add a profile anywhere, run the checks in how to check a directory before you submit.
10How we checked
Prices, approval times and verification steps come from each site's own pages, with the page and the exact words, read on 29 and 30 September 2026; the quote boxes above show the page and the day. Every poster and table row shows the date of its last link check. We don't create profiles on these sites or measure what they bring. Nobody pays to be listed or to appear in a guide. Read how we check for the details, and is directory submission worth it? for the general case.

Usually. Crunchbase, Dealroom, VentureRadar and TrustMRR ask you to log in, and several check that the company is yours, most often by your email domain. Startups List is one that takes a submission without an account.
