AI startup accelerators: the programs whose own pages say AI, quoted and dated

Accelerators whose own pages name AI as their focus, from AI House to Google's accelerator, plus the AI credit programs. Each one quoted and dated.

By Venture ListPublished Updated Links checked September 2026How we check

Only a few accelerators on our list say on their own pages that they are built for AI companies. AI House in Seattle says it builds "applied AI companies". Betaworks Camp in New York runs its sessions as themed AI camps. Google for Startups Accelerator prefers startups using "machine learning and AI", and Accel Atoms runs an AI program for Indian and Indian-origin founders. Alchemist, Boost VC and Forum Ventures name AI next to other fields.

The other half of the search is credits. NVIDIA Inception, Claude for Startups, OpenAI for Startups and the cloud programs give credits and support, not investment. This guide quotes each program from its own pages, as we read them on 2 October 2026, and says which ones put money in your company and which ones lower your bills. Big general programs such as Y Combinator and a16z speedrun state no single focus in the facts we hold; they're compared in YC vs Techstars vs a16z speedrun.

"Terms" is each program's deal in the short form our posters use; hover a cell for the full sentence. Google's accelerator takes no equity and its terms name no cash, so read it as support, not funding. The credit programs have their own table below.

02How we picked them

A program is in this guide if its own words name AI as what it backs: a focus statement, a tagline or the name of its program. We read the focus and tagline of every program in room 03, then their pages. The two ranking lists we read for this search both start with Y Combinator. We don't, because YC's pages on our list don't name AI as its focus, and we don't count portfolios.

03Built around AI: AI House and Betaworks Camp

AI House describes itself in terms of AI from the first line. Its FAQ (opens in a new tab), read on 2 October 2026: "AI House Incubator helps founders build applied AI companies from the earliest stages." Asked what kinds of companies fit, it answers: "We focus on applied AI companies."

It used to be called AI2 Incubator, and some 2026 lists still use that name: Papermark's (opens in a new tab), last updated 28 February 2026, and Peony's (opens in a new tab), updated 3 September 2026, both read on 2 October 2026. Its own FAQ says agreements signed with entities under the old name stay in force. Peony also gives AI House "up to $1M in non-dilutive compute credits". The FAQ names no amount: "Founders may also receive access to significant non-dilutive cloud credits through our partner network."

Its investment and the stake it takes are quoted in how much equity accelerators take. It reviews on a rolling basis and asks every founder to spend at least a month in Seattle (remote accelerators has its words). AI House on the list.

Betaworks Camp picks a theme for each session, and lately every theme has been AI. Its application page, as we read it on 2 October 2026, names the current one "AI Camp: Agentic Economy". Its camp page (opens in a new tab), read the same day, lists the camps before it: "AI Camp: Agent Systems", "AI Camp: Interfaces", "AI Camp: App Layer" and "AI Camp: Native Applications". If your company doesn't fit the theme of the next camp, wait for one that does. Which weeks you'd spend in New York is in accelerators in New York.

Its check, split with partners, is quoted in Y Combinator alternatives, and its application windows in how long accelerators take to answer. Betaworks Camp on the list.

04Programs that prefer AI: Google and Accel Atoms

Google for Startups Accelerator doesn't require AI, but it says what it prefers. Its program page (opens in a new tab), read on 2 October 2026, describes the teams it usually chooses: "Startups demonstrating traction, ideally between Seed and Series A stage" and "Deeply technical, preferably leveraging technologies like machine learning and AI". That rules out a company that is still only an idea. It takes no equity (quoted), and the same page says cloud credits during the program are "subject to eligibility review and approval". Google also runs a separate credits program, the Google for Startups Cloud Program, covered with the other credit programs below. Google for Startups on the list.

Accel Atoms puts its AI program in its first line:

A012Accel AtomsIn their words

“Pre-seed program by Accel designed to help you hit escape velocity. Apply early to our AI program and Atoms X for up to $2m in funding.”

atoms.accel.com (the page we read it on, opens in a new tab)read 29 Sep 2026Accel Atoms on the list

Its home page, read on 2 October 2026, lists an "AI Cohort 2026". It is for Indian and Indian-origin founders, wherever they live (its words). Its check size is in the equity guide. Accel Atoms on the list.

05AI next to other fields

Three programs name AI as one part of a wider focus. Their own words are quoted on other pages:

06Credits, not investment

Several names on AI accelerator lists are credits programs: you get compute, model access or cloud time from one company, and nobody buys a share of your company. These are on our list:

AWS ActivateA065 · Oct 2026$1K–$200K
DigitalOcean Startups (formerly Hatch)A071 · Oct 2026

Claude for Startups, OpenAI for Startups and DigitalOcean state no amount, so their cells are empty. One line on each:

DigitalOcean is the one whose own focus line is about AI. Its startups page (opens in a new tab), read on 2 October 2026: "We prioritize AI-native startups." DigitalOcean Startups on the list.

Each program's amount, who qualifies and the fine print (credits that expire, or don't cover GPUs or third-party platforms) are quoted in startup credits programs. Credits lower your costs. They don't go into your bank account and they don't count as a round.

07A program that stopped

OpenAI's Converge program was on our list until its page began returning a 404 error. We took it off after three failed checks in a row. If a ranking page still sends you there, that's why the link is dead.

08What to check before you apply

  1. What "AI" means to them. AI House wants applied AI built around a customer's problem; Google's accelerator wants "deeply technical" teams with traction; Betaworks picks one theme per camp. Read the focus line against your own company.
  2. Money or credits. AI House, Betaworks Camp, Accel Atoms, Alchemist and Boost VC invest in your company or take a stake in it. Google's accelerator, NVIDIA Inception and the credit programs don't invest. Compare the investors in the equity guide.
  3. Where you have to be. AI House asks for a month in Seattle, Betaworks Camp is in residence in New York, and Accel Atoms is for Indian and Indian-origin founders. Formats are compared in remote accelerators.
  4. When they read applications. AI House reads them on a rolling basis; Betaworks Camp opens a window per session. The stated timelines are in how long accelerators take to answer.
  5. Whether you qualify for credits now. Many credit programs want an investor or a partner referral first. Apply for those once you have one, and take the ones open to everyone in the meantime.

09How we checked

Every quote comes from the program's own pages, with the exact words, as we read them on 2 October 2026 (Accel Atoms' tagline first on 29 September 2026). We read the two ranking lists named above on the same day. What we did: we read each place's own pages and checked its link; every table row and poster shows the date of our last link check. We picked programs by what they say about themselves, not by their portfolios, and we don't know acceptance rates or results. Terms and themes change between cohorts, so read the current page before you apply. This is not legal or investment advice.

Nobody pays to be listed or to appear in a guide. Read how we check for the details.

10Questions

Which accelerators focus on AI startups?

On our list, AI House in Seattle says it builds applied AI companies, Betaworks Camp runs themed AI camps in New York, Google for Startups Accelerator prefers deeply technical teams using machine learning and AI, and Accel Atoms runs an AI program for Indian and Indian-origin founders. Alchemist, Boost VC and Forum Ventures name AI next to other fields.

Is AI2 Incubator the same as AI House?

Yes. The Seattle incubator that was called AI2 Incubator is now AI House, and its FAQ says agreements signed under the old name stay in force. Some 2026 ranking lists still use the old name.

Do AI accelerators give compute credits?

Some say so without naming an amount: AI House's FAQ mentions significant cloud credits through its partner network, and Google's accelerator says credits are subject to review. Credit programs such as NVIDIA Inception, Claude for Startups and the Google Cloud and AWS programs are separate, and each has its own rules. They are compared in startup credits programs.

Are NVIDIA Inception and Claude for Startups accelerators?

Not in the usual sense. They are company programs that give credits, support or discounts for their own products and take no stake. NVIDIA Inception says it has no fees, deadlines or cohorts. Claude for Startups gives credits only to funded startups that meet its rules.
